UMass Announces Updated Football Tailgating & Parking Policies

AMHERST, Mass. - With UMass football's return to McGuirk Alumni Stadium this season, the Department of Athletics has announced new policies for tailgating and parking on game days. In addition, UMass will have a new family-friendly activity area for fans to enjoy named `MinuteFan Way' which will be highlighted by the team and band proceeding through en route to the stadium.

Parking lots will open for tailgating four (4) hours prior to kick off on gameday and will remain open for 90 minutes after the game. General fan parking will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis in Lot 22 and Lot 33 which is accessible via University Drive.
Fans who may be traveling using a recreational vehicle may park in Lot 14 which is adjacent to the Sortino Softball Complex/Rudd Soccer Field.
For season-ticket holders and Minuteman Club Donors, parking will be available in Lot 11 next to the UMass Football Performance Center.
All parking areas are within just a short walk to MinuteFan Way which will include vendors and family-friendly pre-game activities.
There will be live entertainment provided, a reception hosted by the Alumni Association, and concessions available. Activities for children will include mini-golf, a video game trailer, face painting, and bounce houses. All activities are free to enjoy.
For fans looking to purchase last minute tickets, a satellite ticket trailer will be available in Lot 22 as well.
The main ticket booths for McGuirk Alumni Stadium will open at 1:00 PM with gates opening for fans thirty minutes later.
