1. UMass football put up 21 second-half points, but it was not enough in the season finale loss to Buffalo, 41-21 at McGuirk Stadium in Amherst, Massachusetts, on Friday, Nov. 28. The Minutemen finished the year with a 3-9 overall record and 3-5 mark in Mid-American Conference games.

2. Senior linebacker Stanley Andre and junior linebacker Jovan Santos-Knox combined for 31 tackles in the season finale. Andre led all defensive players with 17 while Santos-Knox added 14. It was the eighth game with 10 or more tackles for each Minuteman and Andre's third with at least 15 stops.

3. Junior wide receiver Tajae Sharpe had a team-best four receptions covering 36 yards with a pair of touchdowns. It was Sharpe's second career multi-touchdown game.

4. Sharpe moved into sole possession of third place all-time in the UMass record book for career receptions during the game and has 166 entering his senior season. He finished the 2014 campaign with 85 catches, the second-most in one year by a Minuteman.

5. With his 36 yards in the air, Sharpe surpassed Adrian Zullo (1,253; 1999 season) for second-most receiving yards in one year and ended 2014 with 1,267 yards on his 85 receptions.

6. Robert Kitching III finished with a single-game career-high eight tackles, including 2.0 TFLs. Kitching's previous best was seven tackles at Toledo on Oct. 25, 2014.

7. Shadrach Abrokwah rushed for 100 yards on 15 carries (6.7 ypc) to finish as the team leader in both categories in 2014. Abrokwah ended his sophomore campaign with 122 attempts covering 578 yards (4.7 ypc) with seven touchdowns. It was his fourth game with at least 100 yards on the ground.

8. Marken Michel scored a 50-yard touchdown run out of the wildcat formation against Buffalo. It marked the longest run of the season for the Minutemen and Michel's longest of his career.

9. Andre and Sharpe served as game captains for the Minutemen. Buffalo won the toss, elected to receive and defended the South endzone.

10. UMass honored its three-member senior class of Andre, Daniel Maynes and Quayshun Smith, and a pair of graduate students, Alex Kenney and Brian McDonald, prior to the game.
