 Weekly Game Notes - UMass Hosts Unbeaten Northeastern In Wednesday Matinee

• Coming off a weekend split against ACC teams Notre Dame and Florida State, UMass will return home for the conclusion of the campus-site portion of the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament where it will face Northeastern on Wednesday at 2 PM.
• The UMass Sports Network will feature the "Voice of the Minutemen" Josh Maurer handling play-by-play duties alongside analyst Tim Collins. The game can be heard live starting at 1:40 PM (ET) on 105.5 FM WEEI (Springfield) and 1440 AM WVEI (Worcester). The broadcast is also available online through www.UMassAthletics.com and on smart phones and tablets through the TuneIn app.
• The game will not be televised but webstreamed on the A-10 Digital Network.

QUICK HITTERS
• This is the 106th season of UMass Basketball. UMass has an all-time record of 1,235-1,081 (.537) in 2,313 games. UMass is 458-314 (.593) in conference games, including a 294-294 in Atlantic 10 play. The Minutemen have claimed 15 regular-season conference championships and five tournament titles.
• Wednesday's game will be the continuation of 6 games in 13 days to start the season. 
• The Minutemen rank first nationally in free throws made (140) and attempted (186), 42nd in free throw pct. (75.2) and 29th in total blocks (22). 
• The Minutemen return seven letterwinners, including starters Maxie Esho and Cady Lalanne, from last season that went 24-9 overall and 10-6 in Atlantic 10 play en route to it's first NCAA Tournament appearance in 16 years (1998). The team also returned to the national rankings for the first time since 1998-99, climbing as high as No. 12 in late January. 
• UMass entered the year having won 70 games in the last 3 years (25, 21 & 24) and participated in 2 NITs (reaching the Final Four in 2012) and 1 NCAA tourney. 
• UMass lost three senior starters from the 2013-14 squad in Chaz Williams (professionally in Turkey), Raphiael Putney (NBA D-League) and Sampson Carter (Slovakia/Portugal).

SERIES HISTORY WITH NORTHEASTERN & THE CAA
• UMass and Northeastern are meeting for the 54th time in men's basketball on Wednesday. UMass lists a 36-17 series lead.
• UMass leads 20-7 in Amherst and has split the only two games played at the Mullins Center.
• UMass is 38-45 all-time against current members of the Colonial Athletic Association, with 53 contests coming against Northeastern. They also have winning records against Drexel (2-0), Hofstra (2-1), UNC Wilmington (2-0), Towson (2-0) and William & Mary (1-0). UMass has won six-consecutive over CAA foes. Its last loss came to NU in 2004.
