AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass women's soccer team used a late goal from freshman Sarah Pandolfi to secure its second straight victory, blanking Bryant, 1-0 on Thursday afternoon at Rudd Field. Following the win, the Minutewomen are now 4-5-1 on the year with a 4-2-1 record in their last seven matches, while the Bulldogs drop to 4-6-0.

A pair of quality saves by redshirt freshman Danielle Kriscenski in the first half, a diving stop and a ball touched over the crossbar, helped UMass keep the match scoreless heading into in the intermission with the shots even at seven apiece.

Coming out of the break, however, the Minutewomen dominated play in the remainder of the match, outshooting Bryant, 12-1 in the period. While UMass was unable to connect on several dangerous crosses, the squad eventually broke through for the lone goal of the match in the 83rd minute. Sophomore Jackie Bruno sent a cross from the left sideline to the far post and Pandolfi headed it home at the doorstep for her second game winner of the season.

The Minutewomen ended the day with a 19-8 shot advantage and led in corner kicks, 5-4. Fouls were 13-7 against Bryant.

Kriscenski registered four saves en route to her second shutout of the season and Kaylan Conrad logged seven for the Bulldogs.

UMass travels to Philadelphia, Pa., for its next match, opening Atlantic 10 play at Saint Joseph's on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 1 p.m.
