Boston.com Hosting Online Voting For School Spirit Showdown

BOSTON - The Boston Globe is holding a school spirit vote on Boston.com to determine which Massachusetts-based college or university has the strongest school spirit, with UMass one of eight institutions advancing to the third round of voting. To choose the Minutemen, fans have until end of the day on Friday, Aug. 30 to vote for a round three winner here.

UMass is currently up against Salem State University, with Boston University, MIT, Northeastern, Berklee College of Music, Tufts and Wellesley College also in the running. After four schools are chosen on Friday evening, round four will occur on Saturday, Aug. 31, to choose the final two school from the list. The winner will be announced on Monday, Sept. 3.
