• Shadrach Abrokwah scored his first career touchdown at UMass with a 3-yard dive in the second quarter. He posted 31 carries for 110 yards in his second career game. He had 93 yards on 20 carries last week at Central Michigan.
• Brendon Levengood converted field goals of 42 yards, 37 yards, and 45 yards making him 9-for-9 this season. He is now 17-of-21 for his career and is the all-time field goal accuracy leader in program history with an 81.0 percent conversion rate.
• Kevin Byrne had his first career interception in the 3rd quarter after tipping a Tyler Tettleton pass to himself. He also had a forced fumble in the game as well.
• Tajae Sharpe had a highlight reel touchdown reception in the 3rd quarter following Kevin Byrne's interception. Sharpe split a pair of defenders and tapped both feet down in the back of the endzone for the score. It was his team-high fourth touchdown catch of the season and his first since the Bowling Green game. He finished the game with three catches for 73 yards.
• Dillon Tighe made his first career tackle on the first punt of the second half.
• UMass' 12 field goals made in 2013 stand as the third most for a single-season in program history.
• UMass' 23 points were the second most it score in a game in 2013. The Minutemen had 30 in the loss to Western Michigan and 19 in the loss to No. 21 Northern Illinois.
• Randall Jette missed the first game and first start of his career. He had started 23 consecutive games until Saturday's game at Ohio.
• Anthony Dima returned to the starting line after missing the Central Michigan game last week. It marked the 31st of his career.
• Kevin Byrne also started the 31st game of his career to tie Dima with the team lead.
• Stanley Andre started the 24th consecutive game of his career which is the active team leader for consecutive starts.
• UMass won the opening coin toss and deferred until the second half. That marked the 9th time this season that UMass had won the coin toss.
