Whitney Squires Named Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach

AMHERST, Mass. - Whitney Squires, a 2008 graduate of the University of Rhode Island and former assistant strength and conditioning coach at Bryant, has been named an assistant strength and conditioning coach at UMass, it was announced on Monday.

Working in the Bryant varsity weight room as a volunteer since 2009, Squires designed strength and conditioning programs for the women's tennis and track & field teams. Upon being promoted in 2011, she began working as the head assistant strength and conditioning coach for Bryant's men's and women's tennis, women's swimming and golf teams.

Squires also spent two years as Bryant's assistant women's tennis coach from 2010 to 2012 and has worked as a personal trainer. A four-year starter for the Rams' tennis team from 2004 to 2008, she earned a Bachelor of Human Science and Services degree from URI as a Kinesiology and Exercise Science major.
