Jacksonville - Stefan Durr scored in the first half and Nick Rodriguez added a second half tally as the Jacksonville Dolphins defeated the UMass men's soccer team 2-0 on Sunday evening at the Ashley Sports Complex. Despite 14 shots and nine corner kicks, UMass (0-3) was unable to find the back of the net in the loss.
The Minutemen will return to action next Friday against New Hampshire (1:30 PM) in Burlington, Vermont as part of the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Windjammer Classic. UMass will also face host Vermont on Sunday at 1:30 PM.

The Minutemen continued to pressure the Dolphins with nine more shots compared to just one over the remainder of the first half, but failed to find the equalizer.
Jacksonville added an insurance goal at the 76:39 mark of the second half as Nick Rodriguez tucked a shot from the far right flank into the top left corner of the goal.
