Athletics 101 Set For UMass Freshmen This Saturday

As part of New Student Orientation, UMass will hold an Athletics 101 Rally at McGuirk Stadium this Saturday from 5-7:30 PM. New students will be treated to a bar-b-que, be introduced to several head coaches and will have a chance to learn about the rich history and bright future of UMass Athletics.

As part of the event, UMass football head coach Kevin Morris and the football team will be on hand conducting a Bone Marrow Registration Drive.

Coach Morris along with men's basketball head coach Derek Kellogg and hockey head coach Don "Toot" Cahoon will be on hand to speak about their programs, the UMass cheerleaders will be on hand, and there will be free t-shirts tossed out to the crowd.

The evening will be capped off by an "eye-in-the-sky" photo of the entire freshman class entering this semester.
