AMHERST, Mass. - After two weeks of fan voting, the top three UMass Plays Of The Year have been selected. Top honors go to men's lacrosse attack Kyle Smith, who scored an overtime game-winning goal in consecutive games in April. The football team took second in the balloting with its reverse kickoff return for a touchdown against Maine. Coming in third was midfielder Ryan Hantverk, also from men's lacrosse, whose final-second goal against Towson sent the game to overtime.
Later this summer we will be holding a similar contest to select the top three UMass Performances Of The Year.
