UMass To Hold Cheerleading Tryouts

AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts Amherst will hold cheerleading tryouts for the 2011 fall season. Tryouts will take place in the Curry Hicks Cage on May 7, 2011 from 10am-3pm.
The requirements to tryout are as follows: Standing tumbling: Standing back tuck/strong standing back handspring Series tumbling: Round off back handspring back tuck/ strong round off back handspring Jumps: single toe touch, double toe touch, pike, hurdler (side/front), any two jump combination with no prep in between Stunts: All side bases and back spots will be required to base elite single leg stunts with double downs. All flyers will be required to show all single leg skills with double downs (stretch,aero,scale,scorp,bow and arrow)
