BOCA RATON, Fla. - On day one of its four matches in three days, UMass dropped its first match against Florida Atlantic, 4-3, in Boca Raton on Monday. UMass was able to steal the first point of the match with the doubles duo of Chantal Swiszcz/ Yuliana Motyl and Kaitlyn Carpenter/Jessica Podlofsky winning their sets, only to lose four of the six singles matches.
Both, Swiszcz at No. 5 and Podlofsky at No.6, were able to win their singles matches to go 2-0 on the day.
The UMass tennis continues their spring break in Florida, with a double-header on Tuesday vs. Wyoming at 9 am in Delray, and then Barry at 3 pm in Miami Shores.
