Home Sweet Home: Tennis Def. Quinnipaic, 6-1

AMHERST, Mass. - A great Saturday afternoon for the UMass tennis team (7-4) as they not only took the match against Quinnipiac (1-3) at the Bay Road Tennis Club, 6-1, but watched Chantal Swiszcz and Jessica Podlofsky continue their win streaks to six in nine days. UMass was able handle the Bobcats on Saturday, while also watching Candynce Boney climb the UMass record books to number six all-time in career singles win with 56.

UMass started out strong with the doubles duos of Yuliana Motyl/ Chantal Swiszcz, Candynce Boney/ Tanisha Hodgson, and Julia Comas/ Podlofsky all sweeping the doubles match to grab the match's first point.

As for the singles, No. 1 Yuliana Motyl was able to take care of Rachel Canter, 6-3, 6-4.

To round out the match, No.3 Candynce Boney, No.4 Jessica Podlofsky, No.5 Kaitlyn Carpenter, and No. 6 Chantal Swiszcz were able to secure wins as well to take down the Bobcats, 6-1.
