WACO, Texas - UMass senior linebacker Tyler Holmes has been selected to the AFCA Football Championship Subdivision Coaches' All-America Team, the American Football Coaches Association announced on Wednesday. Holmes, who has collected numerous All-America honors in his career as a Minuteman, earns the AFCA honor for a second straight season.

In his final collegiate campaign, Holmes led the way for the UMass defensive corps picking up his third career All-CAA honor and his second selection to the All-New England Team. He finished his career as a two-time All-CAA first-team selection after being named the CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2010. As a sophomore in 2009, Holmes was a second-team All-CAA honoree.
