Thellen Tabbed Co-UMass Athlete Of The Week

AMHERST, Mass. - On Monday afternoon Darren Thellen was named Co-UMass Athlete of the Week alongside women's soccer freshman, Tori Sousa. Thellen notched two interceptions for the UMass football team (4-2) this past Saturday in a 21-10 win over #9 Delaware.
For a second straight week Thellen was able to grab two interceptions for the Minutemen. The defensive back from Brockton, Mass. leads UMass with four interceptions on the year, having taken one back for a touchdown.
Thellen and Sousa will be honored at the Weekly Sports Luncheon this Wednesday, Oct. 19, in the Massachusetts Room at Mullins Center at 12:15 p.m.
Kevin Morris's squad returns to action this Saturday for the second annual Colonial Clash versus New Hampshire at 3:30 p.m.
