UMAA Golf Invitational A Huge Success

BERNARDSTON, Mass. - More than 125 golfers played in the UMAA Golf Invitational at Crumpin-Fox Golf Club in Bernardston, Mass., on Monday afternoon. The team of Jeff Anderson, Greg Fisk, Jim Hunt and Ron Lauerdierre collected the Gross Championship with a 61 while the group of Dante Ambrogio, George Hassenfratz, Gordon Palley and Jack Palley claimed the Net Title with a 59.
Lauderdierre claimed the Long Drive Title for the men and new women's basketball assistant coach Allison Brown was the winner for the Long Drive on the female side.
Closest To The Pin went to Paul Gilroy and Jay Cherosnick was the Putting Champion.
It was a great event that several UMass coaches took part in, including basketball coach Derek Kellogg, hockey coaches Toot Cahoon and Red Gendron, soccer coach Sam Koch and track and field headman Ken O'Brien.
