About
UMass cheerleading is an All-Girl Division 1A program that supports the University of Massachusetts and UMass Athletics. In addition to attending all home games for football and men's and women's basketabll, the team will travel to post-season and specialty games.
The team represents the University at many community events throughout the year, including our most recent volunteer efforts at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) walk at Six Flags New England and the first "Out of the Darkness Campus Walk" on the UMass campus.
In addition to supporting UMass Athletics and the University, the team attends UCA College Cheerleading Camp at Scranton University in Scranton, Penn. in August and has the opportunity to attend the UCA College Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Fla. in January. The team competes in the Division 1A All-Girl Cheerleading Division.
Team Requirements:
- Strong commitment and dedication to UMass Athletics
- Standing Tumbling: solid BHS on hard wood (minimum), solid standing tuck preferred
- Running Tumbling: round off BHS tuck, layout, or full
- Excellent/sharp motion technique
- Crowd leading skills and collegiate gameday image
Private Coaching/Clinics
