WINTER PARK, Colo. - UMass Men's Skiing co-captain Alex Zahoruiko was named a Second Team All American at this week's USCSA Nationals in Winter Park, Colo. The Minuteman senior recovered after a slow first run to finish 15th in the Giant Slalom on Thursday. The North Andover, Mass. native finishes his career at UMass as one of the premiere skiers in program history.

Zahoruiko played a key role in UMass Skiing's success this season, finishing in the top 15 of the Giant Slalom seven times. He led the Minutemen to a second place team finish in the Giant Slalom at last week's ECSC Regionals, finishing in seventh place with a time of 2:13.60. Zahoruiko also finished seventh in the Slalom at the ECSC Regionals (1:32.33). His best time of the season came at the MIT Carnival on January 31 with a time of 1:44.57 and a third place finish.
