Men's Skiing Places Third In Slalom At UMass Carnival

HENNIKER, N.H. - UMass Men's Skiing finished third in the Slalom at the UMass Carnival last Sunday. Matthew Small (Shelburne Falls, Mass.) led the Minutemen, skiing to a third place individual finish with a time of 1:43.88. UMass Skiing will be off until Friday when they will compete in the Boston College Carnival in Jackson, N.H.
Travis Hopkins (North Andover, Mass.) finished 13th with a time of 1:47.30 while Stefan Ogle (Pittsfield, Mass.) placed 15th with a time of 1:47.49. Tom Sampson (Plymouth, N.H.) skied to a 22nd place finish (1:48.65) while Andrew Hawes (Concord, Mass.) placed 25th with a time of 1:49.36.
Also competing in the Slalom was Adam Pogorzelski (Freehold, N.J.), who finished 30th with a time of 1:52.40 while Alex Zahoruiko (North Andover, Mass.) skied to a 34th place finish with a time of 1:54.19.
