If you are checking in on JTAM, here's an early advance notice that UMass hoop coach Derek Kellogg will be on WHYN 560 AM at 7:05 a.m. and WRNX 100.9 FM at 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning to talk about "SUPER SUNDAY." Listen in and follow Coach Kellogg on his Twitter page. Also, the video scoreboard at McGuirk Stadium is operational. Friday brings three games on campus with men's soccer vs. Duquesne at 12 p.m., women's soccer vs. George Washington at 2:30 p.m., and No. 19 field hockey vs. La Salle at 3 p.m. Also the hockey team starts a home-and-home at Providence at 7 p.m.

Thursday means its the Bud Light UMass Radio Show at the Hangar Pub & Grille tonight at 7 p.m. Seniors Chris Zardas and Anthony Monette will be the players guests joining coach Kevin Morris and Josh Maurer. Lots of action from basketball as Derek Kellogg has activated his Twitter page. JTAM also has stories on the football team prepping for huge game at Maine.

Field hockey takes center stage today as the Minutewomen host Dartmouth tonight at 6 p.m., at Garber Field in the squad's final non-conference game of the season. Earlier in the day head coach Justine Sowry will be a guest speaker at the weekly UMass Sports Luncheon at 12:15 p.m. Football coach Kevin Morris will also speak and swimmer Elizabeth Walsh will be honored as the Athlete of the Week.

On Monday the national polls were released for football and hockey and UMass is in the Top 25 in both. The hockey team, which stands 3-0, breaks into the poll at No. 17. The football team stands at 19th in the media poll and 23rd in the FCS Coaches poll. JTAM has stories on both teams as well news on swimming and field hockey.

The UMass hockey team kicked off the weekend with a solid 5-3 win over Maine to move 3-0 for the first time since 2003-04. The football team suffered a tough loss at #1 Richmond down in Virginia on Saturday. JTAM has news on UMass' Jon Quick signing a big new three-year contract with the L.A. Kings and Tony Gaffney being the L.A. Lakers final cut before the start of the NBA regular season.
