AMHERST, Mass. - After hosting Boston College and Colgate in a pair of dual meets last weekend, the UMass swimming and diving teams will hit the road to face Fordham in their final dual meet of the season. In last year's meet, the Minutemen claimed victory over the Rams, improving them to 11-0 all-time while the Minutewomen fell to 8-4 all-time. The meet will begin at 1 p.m.

Upperco Leaves Her Mark In the final home meet of her career, senior captain Karen Upperco left her mark, once again, on the UMass record books. The Titusville, N.J., native broke the three-meter dive record, replacing the old record of 286.80 with a new score of 297.45 in the meet against Colgate. In addition to her record-setting first-place finish, Upperco notched three more top finishes over the weekend as she took first in the one-meter (261.23) against Colgate, and the three-meter (259.35) against Boston College.

Upperco has notched 10 first-place finishes and has finished first in both diving events three times so far this season. The senior standout has also already passed her own record of 299.40 in the three-meter dive, which ranks first in the all-time record books, with her score of 310.50 in the event at BU's Terrier Invitational.

Last Year Against Fordham

In last year's matchup between the Minutewomen and the Fordham Rams at Joseph Rogers Pool, the Minutewomen fell just short to the Rams, 112-186. Chalikis took first in the 50 free (24.92) while Walsh dominated the 200 free (1:55.33).

Sarah Horstmann (Hockessin, Del.) was the leading diver for the Minutewomen as she finished the dual meet with two second-place finishes, scoring 201.22 in the one-meter and 226.57 in the three-meter.
