*UMass has won seven games in a row in the series with this victory. The Minutemen now have an advantage in the series for the first time ever, leading 22-21-5 dating to the first game in 1897.

*Armando Cuko's game-winning 42-yard field goal was a career-high and second game-winner of his career. The first came on Oct. 15, 2005 vs. James Madison when he struck a 41-yarder to defeat the Dukes. It was also his first field goal of the season and first since Nov. 19, 2005 at Hofstra.

*Liam Coen had his ninth-career 300-yard passing game with 395. It also marked the fourth-highest total of his career. His career-high came last Dec. 1 at Southern Illinois (421). He also had 419 on Nov. 24 vs. Fordham and 401 on Oct. 29, 2005 vs. New Hampshire. Coen has 300 or more yards in four of his last five games. He also had his ninth-career game with three or more passing touchdowns.

*Jeremy Horne had career highs in catches with 10, receiving yards with 172, and touchdowns with two. It was his first career 100-yard receiving game.

*Victor Cruz also had a breakout game with a career-high five catches for 89 yards. He came into the game with only one-career catch which came last season

*Redshirt freshman Julian Talley also added three receptions for 71 yards, his second, third, and fourth catches of his career.

*UMass was down 28-21 at halftime, the most points allowed in a first half by the Minutemen since they trailed 31-7 at New Hampshire on Nov. 9, 2002.

*Brett McDermott's 88-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter was the first against UMass since W. Williams of Rhode Island brought one back 92 yards, one week earlier than the UNH first-half explosion, on Nov, 2, 2002.

*Coen had his second career rushing touchdown in the second quarter. The first was a 3-yard in his freshman year at Delaware on Nov. 5, 2005.

*A pair of redshirt freshmen drew their first career starts on the offensive line. Josh Samuda started at left guard and Brian Ostaszewski was tabbed at right tackle as senior Ben Coblyn moved to right guard.
