UMass Football Ranked No. 5 In Preseason Coaches Poll

AMHERST, Mass. - Days after UMass tabbed as the preseason No. 5 team in The Sports Network media poll, the Minutemen have also been picked fifth in the FCS Coaches Poll released on Thursday. The Minutemen are one of four CAA teams in the top 10 with James Madison at No. 3, Richmond at No. 6 and Delaware at No. 8. Other UMass opponents New Hampshire (No. 16) and Holy Cross (Others Receiving Votes), Hofstra (OVR) and Maine (OVR) are also in the poll.
