UMass Sports Luncheons To Resume Again On Aug. 27

AMHERST, Mass. - The weekly event known as the UMass Sports Luncheon will resume again for the new academic year on Aug. 27, it was announced today. The luncheons, which begin at noon on Wednesdays, are open to the public. For the $10 cost attendees receive a salad-to-dessert meal as well as a variety of guest speakers, ranging from coaches, athletes, and administrators. The UMass/Dinn Bros. Athlete of the Week is also honored at each Sports Luncheon.
All Sports Luncheons for August and September will be held at the Campus Center, room 1009. Two hour parking passes can be picked up for $2 when you pay for your meal.

Sept. 3 speakers: Don Brown, football; Jim Rudy, women's soccer
Sept. 10 speakers: Don Brown, football; Sam Koch, men's soccer; Bob Newcomb, women's swimming
Sept. 17 speakers: Don Brown, football; Justine Sowry, field hockey
Sept. 24 speakers: Don Brown, football; Julie LaFreniere, women's cross country; Ken O'Brien, men's cross country
