AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass field hockey team, coming of its most successful season in years, will hold its banquet on April 19 in the Massachusetts Room of the Mullins Center at 6 p.m. The theme of this year's banquet is "A Season To Remember", as the program's return to national prominence will be recognized. This year's seniors, Kristina DoRosario, Becky Letourneau, Rachael Mervine, Kara Murphy, Erin O'Brien, and Nicole Phelan, will also be honored at the event.

Tickets to the event, which includes dinner, are $35. The deadline to RSVP is April 5. For those who are unable to attend and would like to either sponsor a players' meal or make a donation, they can send it to the UMass Field Hockey Office, 217 Boyden Building, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA 01003.

The Minutewomen, under first year head coach Justine Sowry, had an amazing season in 2007. They won a share of the regular season Atlantic 10 title before winning the team's first Atlantic 10 Championship since 2001 and 10th overall. UMass went on to defeat #17 Princeton in an NCAA play-in game and earn a berth to the NCAA Tournament.
