Tony Nelson had his seventh-career 100-yard game and sixth this season with 204. Nelson had 111 in the first half alone.

Nelson finished his junior season with 1,325 to make him eighth in a single-season. He passed Rene Ingoglia (1,285 in 1993), Frank Alessio (1,276 in 1995), Rene Ingoglia (1,178 in 1995), Steve Baylark (1,177 in 2003) and Dennis Dent (1,139 in 1978).

Nelson had his fifth-career multiple touchdown game and fourth this season.

Ian Jorgensen had his 10th career touchdown on 36 career catches. 28 percent of his catches have been for scores.

Brett Arnold had a 64-yard punt on his first punt of the day to move his single-season average to 45.4 which would be a new record. Arnold also moved to first in the NCAA in punt average. He also moved his career punting average to 41.4 which would be a record as Christian Koegel holds the mark at 40.94.

The crowd of 5,108 makes the season average12,383, the highest for UMass football since the record of 14, 684 set in 1999.
