Liam Coen went over the 10,000 career passing yards mark early in the first quarter on a 35-yard completion to Jeremy Horne, which was his fourth completion of the game. Coen finished the game with 389 yards for an even 10,300 in his career to date in 46 games.

Coen's 389 passing yards is tied for seventh in single-game in UMass history. He is tied with Brian McNally, who held the UMass record with 389 for 25 years from when he set the mark in 1976, against UConn, until 2001.

Coen had his 11th career 300-yard passing game, as he reached 314 with five minutes left in the first half.

Coen had his second-career 5-TD game and his fifth-career 4-TD game, the first four coming in the first half against Bryant. Coen's 5-TD game tied the school record for TD passes in a game which was accomplished five previous times.

Coen completed an 80-yard touchdown to Matt Silver in the middle of the first quarter. That ties for the fifth-longest pass play in UMass history. Tim Day also hooked up with Jason Peebler from 80 yards out in 2004 at Delaware State. The 80-yard pass was the longest pass play since Coen connected with Rasheed Rancher on an 89-yard pass against Stony Brook (9/23/06).

For Silver, it was also his first-career touchdown.

On his 22nd birthday, Jeremy Horne had 182 receiving yards on five catches. The 182 goes down as the fourth-most yards in a game in UMass history. Earlier this year, Victor Cruz set the school record 262 yards at James Madison.

Horne had three touchdown receptions in the game, his career best and the first 3TD game for UMass since Brandon London tied the school record with four at Towson on Oct. 14, 2006.

Ray Jones had his first-career sack in his first-career start.

Brian Ostaszewski started at right guard for UMass, his third start of the season.

Among the Minutemen to see their first action of the season: quarterback Scott Wallace, defensive lineman Theluxon Pierre, special teams Scott Duggan, offensive lineman Justin Sawicki. Seeing their second action of the season were linemen Jared Chivers, Chauncey Incarnato, wide receiver Torrey Esalomi.
