UMass Football Radio Show Airs From The Hangar

Amherst, Mass. - The UMass Sports Network begins its broadcast coverage for the 2007-08 season with the UMass Football Radio Show, Thursday night at 7 p.m. at The Hangar in Amherst. Head Coach Don Brown will join Bob Behler for the 60-minute program, every Thursday during the football season. It can be heard on flagship station, WRNX 100.9 FM and over the internet at umassathletics.com. Wide receiver J.J. Moore and linebacker Jason Hatchell, will be the player guests this week. Fans can submit questions by going to the "Ask UMass" button on the website.
For the football season, The UMass Sports Network will include WRNX 100.9 FM, WCRN 830 AM, and WATD 95.9 FM. In addition, all games can be heard free of charge through umassathletics.com. The season opener with Holy Cross is on the air at 12:30 p.m. with the pregame show. Bob Behler returns for his ninth season as the play-by-play announcer with former kicker Matt Goldstein in his third year as color commentator and Seth Gerard joins the broadcast team as the sideline announcer. Fans wishing to have their questions answered during the game broadcast can also click the "Ask UMass" button on the website to ask the broadcast team.
This season fans at McGuirk Stadium wishing to listen to the game broadcast live without a delay in their portable radios can tune to 102.7 FM, where they will hear a direct feed from the booth. A new feature this year for UMass fans attending road games, will be the ability to hear the UMass Sports Network in opposing stadiums on portable radios. The frequency used to air the broadcast will depend upon what frequencies are already in use in the given area.
