Football coach Don Brown has announced the addition of Justin Halas to the UMass program for the 2007 season. Halas adds to the this year's class of top transfers and freshmen in the nation.

Also made first team Junior College All-State, Gridwire All-American, and Junior College All-American ... Was All-State Region Three Defensive Player of the Year ... At Serrano High School, captained the 14-0 State Champions while earning CIF Division 8 Defensive Player of the Year, Mojave River League Defensive Player of the Year, and All-Conference as a linebacker and fullback.
