* Liam Coen became UMass' career passing yardage leader with an 8-yard pass to Ian Jorgensen early in the third quarter. He passed Todd Bankhead's mark of 7,018 (1998-99). Coen now has 7,133 yards.

* Matt Lawrence went over 100 yards rushing for the seventh time this season. He also scored multiple touchdowns in a game for the fifth time this season.

  • Lawrence now has 1,205 yards for the ninth-best single-season in UMass history.

  • UMass had eight sacks, its most in a game since the Minutemen equaled the school record of 11 against AIC in 2002.

    * Rasheed Rancher moved to 10th in career receiving yards at UMass with 62. He passed DeShon Hardy (1359) and now has 1383.

    * Chris Koepplin's career-long 51-yard field goal late in the first quarter is the second-longest kick in UMass history and second-longest at McGuirk Stadium. Denis Gagnon set the record with a 52-yard kick against New Hampshire in 1971. Sandro Vitiello equaled the mark against Boston College in 1978 - which was at McGuirk Stadium.

    * It was Koepplin's ninth career field goal of more than 40 yards.

    * Michael Meggett had his second interception of his career and season with a 23-yard return late in the first quarter.
