Coen Named A-10 Offensive Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Sophomore Quarterback Liam Coen was named the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week on Sunday. He completed 21 of his 28 pass attempts for 350 yards and two touchdowns on Saturday as Massachusetts downed Villanova, 31-21. It marked the second-highest passing yardage total of his career and the eighth-most in program history. He had scoring passes of 23 yards to wideout Brandon London and one yard to tight end Brad Listorti. Coen did not have a turnover.
UMass has had a weekly A-10 honoree each week this season, punter Christian Koegel in week one, senior safety James Ihedigbo in week two and Coen in week three.
UMass hosts Stony Brook on Saturday at 1 p.m., at McGuirk Stadium.
