McGuirk FieldTurf Update

AMHERST, Mass. - The installation of the new FieldTurf surface at McGuirk Alumni Stadium is coming down the home stretch. The entire field has been laid down and now the only details left to be installed are the end zones, yard-line numbers and the logo at midfield. Those items should be completed in the coming days. That will be followed by the integration of the rubber pellets which will be ground into the field over several days early next week.

Football practice will start on Wednesday, August 9 and it is expected the team will be able to utilize the entire FieldTurf field at McGuirk Stadium by Friday, August 11. Check back for updates.
