UMass Falls To Richmond 6-1 In Women's Tennis

Washington, D.C. - The University of Massachusetts women's tennis team (9-8, 2-1 A-10) fell to Richmond by a score of 6-1 Friday afternoon in Washington, D.C. The Minutewomen were able to win Doubles No. 1 and Singles No. 1, but it wasn't enough.
After winning at No. 1 singles, Michele Spiess moved one step closer to the 20-win plateau. She is one win away (19-3), trying to top 20 wins for the second straight year. She also teamed up with Masha Pozar for the only doubles win for UMass. The duo improved to 17-2 on the season.
The Minutewomen are right back in action Saturday afternoon as they take on the George Washington Colonials at 1:00 pm.
