UMass Falls to Yale 5-2 In Women's Tennis

New Haven, Conn. - The University of Massachusetts women's tennis (5-6) team fell to the hands of the Yale Bulldogs (5-6) by a score of 5-2 this afternoon. The Minutewomen were able to win doubles No. 1 along with singles Nos. 1 and 2. It was not enough though as the Bulldogs prevailed.
Michele Spiess and Masha Pozar continue to carry the Minutewomen as they combined to win their No. 1 doubles match 8-6. Both were able to win their singles matches in a third set. Spiess improved her dual singles record to 12-2 while Pozar is now 10-4.
The Minutewomen look ahead to their Atlantic 10 opener on Wednesday afternoon. They take on the University of Rhode Island Rams in Kingston, R.I. at 3:30 p.m.
