February 8, 2006 - UMass fans can log on to keep track of their favorite team and players, thanks to the University of Massachusetts' partnership with CSTV Networks, operator of CSTV: College Sports Television and Top Ten sports site CSTV.com. UMass and CSTV announced today the redesign of the official maroon and white athletics site, www.umassathletics.com.

The new UMass site features a drastically improved design with new wide photo layouts for every page. In addition, the redesign will take advantage of a number of CSTV web site features including GameTracker, which allows fans to follow live simulated game action of their favorite teams. GameTracker provides updated stats, game details and full play by play for myriad sports including football, basketball, hockey, lacrosse and many others. CSTV will also provide editorial content, e-commerce and auctions of UMass-related merchandise.

Fans can also log on to watch UMass video streamed live via broadband for free, including tonight's men's basketball game with La Salle, as well as action from other several other UMass sports. UMass content is also available as a part of CSTV.com's online XXL subscription service that features the most in-depth coverage of college sports through live games streamed via audio and video broadband, special features, highlights, press conferences, coaches' shows and more, from more than 90 schools, drawing from 13 different conferences. "We are striving to give UMass fans and supporters the most up-to-date website in terms of content and technology," said Assistant Athletics Director Jason Yellin. "Our primary concern is to give our fans and alumni the best ways to stay connected to their UMass sports. We're delighted to be continuing our relationship with CSTV. We hope the fans enjoy the enhanced graphic look with the continued content and instant updates."
