AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts and the William D. Mullins Memorial Center debuted the brand new video boards during Friday night's hockey game vs. Vermont. After the characteristic "Get Ready For The Mass Attack...", the new boards were fired up for the fans in attendance. Check out the photo gallery!
The Minutemen skated out to a pre-produced team video before the starting lineups, and fans could be seen showing their Massachusetts spirit throughout the game as video cameras scanned the arena. Other features of the new boards include a live scoreboard, live statistics and game video feed, starting lineup video headshots and listings of upcoming games and promotions.
"We are extremely excited about the new video boards at the Mullins Center," said UMass Director of Athletics John McCutcheon. "I think everyone will agree when they see them that they are a fantastic addition to the experience of attending a UMass athletic event. I want to give special recognition to our corporate sponsors who made this improvement possible."
Upcoming events at the Mullins Center include: Saturday's hockey game vs. Vermont, women's basketball vs. St. Bonaventure on Sunday, and Wednesday's men's basketball contest vs. Charlotte. Come out and see the home improvements yourself! Call 1-866 UMASS TIX for tickets today!
