Coen Piles Up Honors From A-10, Nation

AMHERST, Mass. - Sophomore quarterback Liam Coen (North Providence R.I.) earned his second A-10 Player of the Week award and was named to the I-AA.org Weekly All-Stars after throwing a school record-tying five touchdown passes in Massachusetts' 35-0 win at Towson on Sat. afternoon. In leading UMass to its blanking of No. 22 Towson, the nation's leader in pass efficiency completed 21 of 27 passes for 303 yards and the school-record tying five touchdown passes.
Coen hit senior Brandon London for four of the TD strikes which tied the school record for TD receptions in a game. Coen went over the 300 yard passing mark for the fourth time in his 16-game career and second time this season. He continues to lead the nation in pass efficiency at 188.48.
He also moved to fifth in career passing yards at UMass with 3584 passing Tim Day. He also moved to sixth in completions with 262 and eighth in TD passes with 22.
