Steve Baylark Named UMass/Dinn Brothers Athlete of the Week

AMHERST, Mass -
Senior tailback, Steve Baylark has been named the UMass/Dinn Brothers Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 8. Baylark picked up 187 yards and scored two touchdowns in the 48-7 win over William and Mary. This game became his 18th career 100-yard game and moved him to third in career rushing yards at UMass with 3,927 yards.
The Minutemen's record now stands at 4-1, with a 2-0 record in the conference. This Saturday they will travel to Towson to face the Tigers for their first-ever matchup at 3 pm.
Baylark will be honored at the UMass Sports Luncheon this Wednesday, October 11 at noon. The luncheon will be held in the Massachusetts room located on the third floor of the Mullins Center. The guest speakers will be football coach Don Brown, men's soccer coach Sam Koch, and women's basketball coach Marnie Dacko.
