Atlantic 10 Announces TV Deals With ESPN, CSTV

PHILADELPHIA - The Atlantic 10 Conference has signed new agreements with ESPN and College Sports Television which will provide the greatest amount of exposure in the history of the Conference, it was announced Wednesday by commissioner Linda Bruno.

As it has since the 1980s, ESPN will continue to televise the Atlantic
10 Men's Basketball Championship final over the length of the contract,
which begins with the 2006-07 season and runs through the 2009-10
season, as well as the Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship
final. Additionally, ESPN will continue to televise select regular
season conference and non-conference men's and women's basketball games.
As part of the new pact, ESPNU will carry a compliment of games each
year of the agreement. ESPN also retains distribution rights to it's
A-10 programming across multiple media platforms.
The Atlantic 10's comprehensive deal with College Sports Television, beginning in 2006-07 and extending through the 2010-11 season, consists of all conference-related media rights, including television, national over-the-air and satellite radio, video-on-demand, internet, broadband, and wireless from CSTV's inventory of games. CSTV will also have exclusive corporate sponsorship and licensing rights to all 21 Atlantic 10 sports during regular season and postseason championships, including the men's and women's basketball championships. It also covers exclusive rights to all regular season, postseason, and conference championships for Atlantic 10 baseball, men's and women's cross country, field hockey, men's golf, women's lacrosse, women's rowing, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's & women's swimming & diving, men's and women's tennis, and men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field, and women's volleyball.
In addition to CSTV's national coverage of A-10 basketball, it will assume the responsibilities of the Emmy Award-winning Atlantic 10 Television Network, which has syndicated A-10 men's and women's basketball games since the 1983-84 season.
