Post-Game Notes

* UMass set a school record for first downs in a game with 34. The old record was 33 set vs. Boston University in 1977.

* Liam Coen had the second-most passing yards in a game at UMass with 401. He was just two yards short of the school record of 403 by Matt Guice in 2001 also vs. New Hampshire. Coen tied Jeff Krohn for second, who set that mark against Northeastern in 2002.

*Coen's 31 completion is now third all-time, just two short of the record held by Krohn, also set in that Northeastern game.

* Coen's 50 attempts is fifth all-time, Guice holds the record of 63 set in the UNH game in 2001.

* Steve Baylark went over the 100-yard plateau with his 4-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. He now has 15 career 100-yard games, three against New Hampshire and fourth 100-yard game this season. Baylark had 111 against UNH in 2003, 192 in 2004 in addition to Saturday's total.

* Steve Baylark scored an 18-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter for his 23rd career rushing score. He is now alone in fifth all-time for career rushing touchdowns, breaking a tie with quarterback Greg Landry.

* That touchdown score just 1:38 into the second half was UMass' fastest scoring drive of a half this season.

* Rasheed Rancher had career highs in catches with six and receiving yards with 108 in the game.

* UMass had three sacks of Ricky Santos in the first half, by Justin Schweighardt, Keron Williams and David Burris, Brandon Smith had a sack in the third quarter.
