• With the loss, UMass falls to 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the Atlantic 10 ... the loss puts the all-time record at 499-493-51 ... UMass is now 30-10 at McGuirk ... Delaware improves to 23-4 in the all-time series, including a 10-2 advantage in Amherst ... UMass is now 4-1 in its last five games against top-5 programs.
• Charles Walker (North Lauderdale, Fla.) set a career-high with 23 tackles (nine solo) ... tied the school record for tackles in a game, set by John McKewon in 1986, also against Delaware ... had only 13 tackles entering the 2004 season ... now leads UMass with 40 tackles on the season.
• Brad Anderson (Ijamsville, Md.) made his first career interception when he hauled in Sonny Riccio's pass with 2:17 remaining in the first half.
• Brandon London's (Charlottesville, Va.) nine-yard touchdown reception in the second-quarter was the first of his career ... his reception tied the game at 7-7 with 5:18 remaining in the first half ... he set career-highs with five receptions for 56 yards for the game.
• Christian Koegel (Deerfield Beach, Fla.) boomed a career-long, 76-yard punt in the first quarter pinning Delaware at its own 1-yard line ... the punt goes down as the third longest in school history ... Andy McClay's 78-yard punt against BU in 1997 is the record, while Dimitri Yavis, also against BU, nailed a 77-yarder in 1998. Koegel's previous long was 57 yards.
• UMass still has not allowed a fourth-down conversion this year ... the Minutemen stopped Delaware on fourth-down with 8:45 remaining in the first quarter ... opponents are now 0-for-3 this season when going on fourth.
• The Minuteman defense has allowed just one touchdown in the first quarter this season after hold Delaware scoreless for the first 15 minutes.
