Court Club Holds Golf Tournament & Dinner Monday

Amherst, Mass. - The Court Club held its annual golf tournament and dinner at Hickory Ridge Golf Club on Monday. Eighteen foursomes participated on a great fall afternoon in Amherst. After dinner, Coach Steve Lappas addressed the gathering and said he is very excited for this season.
"I think Artie Bowers and Maurice Maxwell will be the most improved players," said Lappas during his rundown of the team. "I also expect RaShaun Freeman along with LaSalle's Stephen Smith to be two of the best players in the league this year. I am very excited for this year."
UMass opens its regular season Tuesday November 23 at home against Birmingham Southern.
