Minutemen To Face Notre Dame in Exhibition

AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts men's soccer team will face preseason No. 14 Notre Dame in the ninth annual Kick-off Classic at Szot Park in Chicopee. The game will be played Aug. 28 at 7:00 p.m. Notre Dame is currently ranked No. 14 in the College Soccer News preseason poll. The Fighting Irish are coming off their most successful season in school history in which they captured the Big East Championship and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the 2003 NCAA tournament. This game will serve as the final exhibition match before the season opener on September 2 against the 16th-ranked Broncos of Santa Clara University in the University of San Francisco's Diadora Classic.
