AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts men's soccer players Ptah Myers (Columbus, Ohio) and Devlin Barnes (Bethesda, Md.) have been selected to play in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) Senior All-Star Game. The duo are two of 60 players in New England selected to play.
Myers was a first-team All-Atlantic 10 selection last season after being named to the second team as a junior. Myers led the Minutemen with 21 points (9 g, 3 a) and finished his career with 70 points (27 g, 16 a). The 70 points rank seventh on the career scoring list, and is tied for ninth on both the career goals and career assists lists. He tallied at least 20 points in his last three seasons at UMass.
Barnes was a second-team All-Atlantic 10 honoree after leading a solid UMass defense that shut out seven opponents, the seventh most in school history. He finished his career with five points (2 g, 1 a).
Each spring member coaches of the NEISL select 60 of the top senior collegiate players from NCAA Division 1, Division II and Division III institutions to compete on the NEISL Senior All-Star Teams. This year's game will be held at Babson College in Babson Park, Mass., on Sunday, April 25, 2004. Kick off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
