Tim Day tied for the second most pass attempts in a game in UMass history with a career-high 52 and tied for the third most pass completions in a game with 28, also a career -high.

J.J. Moore hauled in a career-high seven passes for a career-best 75 yards. His reception total was the most by a UMass player this season.

Tracy Belton picked off his fourth pass of the season in the first quarter, it was also the eighth of his career. Belton's interception was made possible by R.J. Cobbs, who deflected QB Justin Rascati's pass in the end zone leading to Belton's pick.

Belton's interception was the 10th of the season for UMass, most in the Atlantic 10.

Dominique Stewart had a season-high six receptions, including four in the first half.

Punter Christian Koegel completed the first pass of his career on a fake punt midway through the second quarter - as he hit Brandon London on a fake punt play for seven yards - the play did not convert the fourth down though.

UMass posted consecutive sacks on three play at the end of the first half as Serge Tikum, Greg Scott and Ola Sanusi brought down quarterback Justin Rascati. For Tikum, it was his first sack of the season and fifth of his career; it was Scott's first sack of his career and Sanusi now has 2.5 sacks this season.

The last time UMass played in a game with a scoreless first half prior to today was Oct. 26, 2002, when ironically, JMU and UMass played a 0-0 first half in the last games between the teams at Bridgeforth Stadium.

J.J. Moore's 40-yard reception in the fourth quarter was the longest catch of his career.

Mike Douglas caught his third career touchdown reception and second of the season with 4:59 left in the game.

James Ihedigbo recovered UMass' first on-sides of kick of the season - coming off the Douglas touchdown.
