Freeman Named A-10 Rookie Of The Week

AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts sophomore forward Rashaun Freeman (Schenectady, N.Y.) has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week in men's basketball, for games from Nov. 23-29. This marks the second consecutive week Freeman has received the award from the Atlantic 10.
In Massachusetts' only game last week, Freeman totaled 19 points and nine rebounds in a 72-66 loss to Hartford on November 24. He hit eight out of 11 shots from the floor and three out of four at the foul line, in addition to recording a steal. Through three games so far this season, Freeman is averaging team highs of 15.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, while hitting 19 of 32 shots from the floor (59.4 percent).
The Minutemen return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 2, when they play host to Vermont in a 7:00 p.m. game at the Mullins Center.
