Crew Ready To Defend Title

Amherst, Mass.--The seventh annual Verizon Atlantic 10 Women's Rowing Championship will take place Saturday, April 27, at Cooper River Park in Collingswood, N.J. Trials begin at 8:00am on the Cooper River, with finals slated to begin at 10:00am.

Massachusetts will be looking for its seventh straight women's rowing crown. Last year, the Minutewomen won the event with 47 points, topping second place George Washington and its 35 points. George Washington has finished second in the team standings every year the event has been held.

Joining George Washington in the quest to unseat Massachusetts as champion are Dayton, Duquesne, Fordham, La Salle, Rhode Island, Saint Joseph's, and Temple.

Admission to Cooper River Park is free.
