Men's Gymnastics Garners Three Individual Titles At ECAC Championship

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The University of Massachusetts men's gymnastics team participated in day two of the ECAC men's gymnastics championships at McGonigle Hall at Temple University and picked up three first-place finishes.
Ben Jacobs (Milwaukee, Wisc.) won the horizontal bar with a score of 9.00. Teammate Darren Morace (Westfield, Mass.) finished right behind him tied for second with a score 8.80. Morace also finished third in the floor exercise (8.80) and fourth in the vault (9.20).
The Minutemen also picked up wins in the floor exercise as Clayton Kent (Exeter, N.H.) tied for first with a score of 9.20, and in the pommel horse as Justin Hammar (Woodbury, Minn.) turned in a score of 9.30.
Also competing were Andy Sobuta (Maynard, Mass.) who finished ninth on the rings with a score of 8.55, Patrick McFarland (Longmeadow, Mass.) who finished sixth in the parallel bars with a score of 8.40, and Orrin Donley (Venice, Fla.) who finished fourth in the horizontal bar.
