Men's Tennis Falls To Dartmouth, 7-0

HANOVER, N.H. -- The University of Massachsetts men's tennis team was swept by Dartmouth College, 7-0, last night. The Minutemen will host A-10 foe George Washington Saturday, March 9, at 12:00 p.m.

In doubles, Dartmouth won the No. 2 and 3 games handily, but UMass made it tough at No. 1. The tandem of seniors Steve Prisco (Dedham, Mass.) and Todd Champeau (Waukesha, Wis.) took Jeff Sloves and Drew Dinkmeyer to a tie-breaker before falling, 9-7.

Prisco was the only UMass player to win a singles game as he fell to Sloves at No. 1, 7-5, 3-6, 0-3. He was forced to end the match early.

The Minutemen will be off until Saturday, March 9, when they host George Washington at 12:00. The match will be played at the Minutemen's indoor facility at Hampshire College.
