Women's Tennis Finishes Regular Season at 17-7

AMHERST, Mass. -- The University of Massachusetts women's tennis team split its final two matches this week as it finished the regular season with a 17-7 overall record, 4-0 in the A-10. The Minutewomen will now compete in this weekend's Verizon Atlantic 10 Tournament.
In its final two matches, the Minutewomen defeated Seton Hall Monday, 4-3, and fell to Williams in a hard fought battle, 4-3 , Tuesday. The loss to Williams snapped the Minutewomen's seven-match winning streak. The 17-7 mark is the best record for Judy Dixon since her 1995-96 squad that went 15-4 and won the New England Championship.
The Verizon Atlantic 10 Championship will be held April 20-22 in Princeton, N.J.
